BMW Motorrad Connected Ride Smartphone Cradle

The ConnectedRide Cradle serves as a holder for using the smartphone as a navigation device while driving. The BMW Motorrad Connected app allows the navigation map and vehicle data to be called up in the field of vision via the multi-controller. The holder accommodates various smartphone sizes and charges the smartphone inductively or via cable.

• The Connected Ride Cradle is protected according to IP65
• When choosing a smartphone, you should pay attention to sufficient weather protection. Most common smartphones already offer sufficient protection against the weather
• Suitable for all motorcycles with the special equipment preparation for navigation device SA 272 (except R 1200 RT, R 1250 RT, K 1600 series)
• Also usable on models with MMC and the option of retrofitting the navigation preparation via the BMW workshop system
• Not compatible with the Navigator's 4-Button Mount Cradle
• In older vehicles without a TFT instrument cluster, operation is possible via the control element of the navigation device preparation SA 272. The prerequisite for displaying the vehicle data is the SA 221 on-board computer Pro
• A Bluetooth connection (Bluetooth Low Energy) is required to enable control of the app using the navigation preparation control element on the vehicle (MMC). Bluetooth pairing takes place within the BMW Motorrad Connected app and is only required once during initial setup. If recognized after switching on, the devices connect automatically for the next trip.
• To securely fix the smartphone in the ConnectedRide Cradle, BMW Motorrad recommends removing the smartphone case if its dimensions impair the optimal fit of the smartphone in the ConnectedRide Cradle or the inductive charging.
• Smartphones must have at least Bluetooth Low Energy version 4.2 to meet the security requirements (LE Secure Connections) for the connection. Smartphones with older Bluetooth versions are therefore not supported
