218 hp! The new BMW M 1000 RR 2025 – An even more powerful super sports car

BMW Motorrad has introduced the revised M 1000 RR, which now boasts an impressive output of 218 hp. Through aerodynamic optimizations, the model aims for faster lap times and an enhanced driving experience.

More performance and optimized technology

The latest version of the M 1000 RR's inline four-cylinder engine now produces 218 hp at 14,500 rpm, an increase of 6 hp compared to its predecessor. This increase in power is the result of several technical improvements: among other things, newly designed titanium valves, a higher compression ratio of 14.5:1 and larger throttle valves with a diameter of 52 mm are used. The intake and exhaust ports and the titanium exhaust system have also been revised to increase flow efficiency.

electronics at racetrack level

The M 1000 RR is equipped as standard with dynamic traction control (DTC), which now has an innovative slide control function. This function uses steering angle sensors to measure the drift angle of the rear wheel and adjust it in the DTC Setting 3 and 2 driving modes. There is also the new Brake Slide Control, which is also based on the steering angle sensor and offers support when braking. Both functions are intended to significantly improve control of the motorcycle in extreme driving situations.

The standard Race ABS Pro also ensures greater safety when cornering. New is the ABS Pro setting "Slick", which was specially developed for slick tires without a profile.

Improved frame and aerodynamic design

The Flex Frame of the M 1000 RR has been further optimized. Adjustments in the steering head area and a revised engine mount offer improved rigidity and optimized handling characteristics. In addition, the new front fairing and the adapted screen ensure even better aerodynamic properties. Particularly noteworthy are the newly designed M Winglets 3.0, which are made of carbon and significantly increase the aerodynamic downforce. At a speed of 300 km/h, they now generate a downforce of 30 kg (previously 22.6 kg) without affecting the top speed of 314 km/h. These innovations reduce the tendency to do wheelies and improve cornering speed.

Variants and price of the new M 1000 RR

The BMW M 1000 RR is available in two versions: the basic version in Light White uni and the M Competition in Black Storm metallic. All carbon parts of the machine have a matte finish. The price for the new model has not yet been determined, but the price for the previous model is around 40,000 euros, depending on the market.
