Electric Motion (EM), a leading manufacturer of electric trial motorcycles, continues to set the standard in the industry. While many companies are still working on developing their own electric trial bikes, EM has been offering a competitive solution with their Epure models for some time . The key to their success lies in the integration of a conventional clutch , which allows precise control in difficult terrain situations.
Now EM is expanding its portfolio with the launch of two new models: Escape X and Escape XR . Both models offer a remarkable range of 80 km and a top speed of 85 km/h . The XR model, which is slightly more expensive and comes with additional features, also has a clutch that allows the rider to lift the front wheel in a controlled manner to overcome obstacles.
The technical data of the EM Escape XR are impressive: a weight of 88 kg , a battery voltage of 50.4 V and a battery capacity of 3.5 kWh . The Nissin disc brakes with 260/220 mm brake discs ensure reliable deceleration, while the TFT display provides the driver with important information. The suspension travel of 250 mm and the 35 mm USD fork underline the off-road capabilities of this motorcycle.
Another notable feature is the electric motor , which maintains a certain speed even when the twist grip is closed, thus simulating the idle of a combustion engine. In addition, when rolling with the twist grip closed, the motorcycle generates engine braking torque, which helps to recharge the battery .
